Highway History:
1953: The highway was just seven miles long as it connected U.S. 266 to U.S. 62. At this time, OK 16 only went as far east as U.S. 75 (now Alternate U.S. 75) in Beggs.

Highway Review:
The northern OK 52 goes from U.S. 266 just east of Grayson to OK 16. The highway does travel through the city of Morris and intersects U.S. 62 there.
