OKHighways - New State Highway Shield Checklist

On January 9, 2006, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation approved a change of the state highway shield. All state highways will be signed with the number on top of an outline of the state of Oklahoma. The top part of the numbers will be placed over the bottom 1/3 of the state outline. According to ODOT, shield replacement started in late January and may be finished by the end of the year. This new design replaces the current circle design.

The table below lists all state highway numbers in use in the state of Oklahoma. The next column to the right of the number indicates whether a new state highway shield has been 1) spotted and Photographed by OKHighways, 2) Reported to OKHighways and photographed, or 3) reported to OKHighways and Not yet photographed. If the column is blank, that means that highway has not met any of the three stated criteria. If you have seen and/or photographed a new shield from a highway that has not previously been done, please send OKHighways.com an e-mail. (Spam filter in effect, replace # with @ to send.)
